The latest New South Wales, Australia COVID-19 weekly data overview shows that the COVID-19 vaccination status of “Unknown” is clearly the most effective at preventing death.
As you can see from the above table from the report there were zero deaths out of the 200 COVID-19 hospital patients in the “Unknown” vaccination status category. While I’m sure it’s obvious that translates to 100% efficacy in the prevention of death from COVID-19. Strangely, while the “No dose” category was looking really good coming into the hospital patient count with only two patients, things ultimately didn’t turn out well with deaths being over 500% of the number of hospital patients at a count of 11 deaths. I’m not sure how this is possible so I’d be open to ideas.
With regards to the category of “Unknown” it’s interesting to note that the report states (emphasis mine):
“Vaccination status is determined by matching to Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) data. Name and date of birth need to be an exact match to that recorded in AIR. People with unknown vaccination status were unable to be found in AIR, though may have vaccination details recorded in AIR under a shortened name or different spelling.”
Gee, I wonder what percentage of people that haven’t received a COVID-19 vaccine are listed in the Immunisation Register? Something tells me that people who avoided getting the COVID-19 vaccine probably weren’t eager to make sure this fact was documented with the government. But that’s just speculation on my part. What do you think?
